Subway ads and dead stars

 
Today I saw this "advertisement" in the subway on my way to work. I think it's an excellent example of science education and I congratulate the people at the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics, University of Toronto and CoolCosmos for making the effort. Or, wrote "enbiggen", which is almost the same thing.

I was at the launch for these ads. I was going to blog about it, but never got around to it...
2009 is not just Darwin year, it's also the Year of Astronomy, so there's so much science all over the place, it's impossible to keep up with!

There is an entry in Wiktionary for the word. It has been used in "Notes and Queries" and JHEP.

Now these CoolCosmos ads are in metro stations in Montreal! The French ads are also found at CoolCosmos
